If he doesn’t get drafted, I think we know why. The dude has amazing numbers (4.3 speed/ 46 inch vertical!!!).

I’ll say it. He is a white guy. It sucks, but there is a stigma that surrounds white athletes.

Very nice interview. This guy will surely pique the interest of quite a few NFL teams. Looking at those pro day numbers (46″ vertical is off the charts, with 4.38 speed !) and then reading this interview, Konz looks pretty impressive.

In the answer to the question about his athleticism, Jameson mentioned he was 205 in high school but is “at about 235 right now.” Smaller than the average NFL tight end, but if he’s a receiver type who – as he said – enjoys blocking in the open field, I can see him contributing to a pro club.

Were you always as athletic as you are now?

I weighed a little bit less in high school. I think the most I got up to was 205 pounds. And it’s funny that you ask that: I’ve actually gotten faster the more that I’ve gained weight. So, I’m at about 235 right now, and I’m the fastest I’ve ever been. I think that I just needed to grow into my body a little bit more.
