It's good to see that he's was a hard worker & good special teams performer in Baltimore. Any information on his college production, e.g. not what he benched at the Combine, but what he did on the field that got him drafted in the first place? Apparently he played outside linebacker at Michigan and was at Michigan at the same time as Pierre Woods. Was he a pass rusher? Run stopper? Productive player?

This signing gives the Patriots 66.67% of the Burgesses listed in the NFL.com index and 100% of the Burgesses active on NFL rosters. Victory must inevitably follow . . .

PRM: someone had to say it.
Prescott numbers from 2007:

Combine - Linebacker Prescott Burgess, meanwhile, ran a slower 4.85 40 and managed 19 reps of 225, a lower total among the linebackers. He measured 6-3 and 3/8, 240 pounds.

Pro Day -Prescott Burgess LB - (249 pounds), who participated in the Combine, ran his 40s in 4.77 and 4.85 seconds, the short shuttle in 4.45 and the three-cone drill in 7.34. He also had a 31-inch vertical jump and a 9-foot-2 broad jump.

Given the Patriots are still waiting for Derek Burgess to show up, they figured they could save a few dollars and recycle the jerseys without having to change the name on the back.
