Because the imitation is never as good as the original. I never understood why you would attempt to duplicate your rival/benchmark, and try to beat them at thier own game. You can't out-Patriot the Patriots. I am happy they went in a different direction, and attempted to simply be better than the Patriots. I am a Jet fan btw. I don't think that's changed, the big difference is that from 2006-2008 there was someone who would come up with the big play at the right time (usually!). So, who's going to that now? It's up to a bunch of players trying to make a name for themselves. Good article.
