Good point, Roger. Players who haven't gotten a lot of press and seem likely to be available later could be targeted by former NE guys. Until some of these OLs get on the field, I'll keep judgments to myself. (No I won't. Who am I kidding?)

Do you think that with Pioli and McDaniels out there perhaps some of the reaches are not reaches at all? I don't know how early the Pats begin their draft preparations, but it may be possible that some of the reaches were players the Chiefs or Broncos knew we had some interest in.

I definitely needed help finding Ingram on my "Wildcat QB/Receiver" search. Darn you for the distraction, Pat White!

Must say I'm feeling totally better about the draft now than I was 36 hours ago.

Notice you didn't have Jacob Ingram in your profile. What? Why!? Kidding - thanks for the effort. As one who hadn't heard of Aaron Curry until 3 months ago (like 99% of all NFL fans who'll never admit it), I'll give BB and Coach Scarnecchia the benefit of a doubt in regards Vollmer - Scarnecchia knows who he can help and I'll be surprised if the big German doesn't make an impact in a couple of years.

Best thing about the draft was the way Belichick operated. He's smart, has a plan and is fearless. What a time to be living in this area (with the great Francona managing the Sox).

Update: Antonio Appleby in as a UDFA, courtesy of http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2009/04/2009-undrafted-free-agent-signings-list.html .

A 6-4, 250-pound Al-Groh disciple for the cost of a t-shirt and meal ticket? Fine by me.
