It's pretty tough smiling on the day I'm doing taxes, but that was worth a belly laugh. Good stuff!

You guys made a great point last week about the lack of market for Cassel due, in large part, to other team's not being smart. This played out to perfection with the two guys out there knowing the most about Cassel (Mac in DEN and Pioli in KC) being the only ones smart enough to be interested in securing his services.

If you're Detroit or Minnesota or Chicago (to cover just one division), how could you not give up 2 for Cassell and Vrabel (a free heart transplant for your D)?

As for the trade, I can't see how NE could have done any better

Maybe Mortensen is mad because BB released his kid? Bledsoe loyalists are a special breed. Smartest fans in the country and at the very tops of their chosen professions. Commitment to excellence Scott, well written.

Bizarro world. When Borges has the coach's back and the "fans" are busy boiling the tar and gathering the chicken feathers, I'm thinking it's time for me to give up on the boards, the radio shows, the internet articles, etc, and just watch the fucking games. After each game is over I'll go into radio silence until the next one. It's about the only way I can figure to keep my sanity. It still amazes me how much animus BB generates -- no mattter what he frickin' does.

Thanks for taking the time to sift thru all those comments Scott. It would've made me homicidal to do so. You're much more tolerant than I.

Chris, could you run through the Vrabel stuff again? You lost me. He could have stayed? Then this trade really doesn't make any sense!

Hey Scott, funny stuff. For my part, I think if the Pats could have gotten more for Cassel, that would have been better. I mean, if they could have held on to Vrabel, that would have meant that Vrabel would have stayed with the team. Also, if they could have gotten a higher draft pick for Cassel and Vrabel, then they would have had the opportunity to pick sooner on draft day.

And despite their three Super Bowls, it doesn't mean that the Patriots are guaranteed to win another one. Bill Belichick is a human being.

I know I'm right. It's inargueable.
