Hey Scott. I loved the article. But I think I can make the future a little more simple. And it's this: the winner of this week's Miami-Pats game wins the division and gets the 2nd seed. That's the way it sets up for me. So let's just go down there and play like we've done the last 3 weeks but JUST FINISH THE DAMN GAME.

Great stuff. You probably have your hands full at the moment, but might I make a suggestion for another feature on PD? Would love to see something like a weekly or monthly look back at a great (or not so great) Pats team of the past–for some reason, I would really love to hear yours and PD's thoughts and analysis on the 1981 squad that brought us Kenneth Sims.

bob, I'd love it if it worked out that simply, because as the game gets closer, I have no doubt in my mind that the Patriots win this weekend. I don't care how many sacks Joey Porter has, nobody ever got rich betting on him.

All true words, Scott. But the worst thing out of all this playoff talk is that all of those "NFL analysts" are going to start beating to death that "Loser of a Super Bowl won't make the next year's playoffs" horse while smiling as wide as Jack did back '89 (as the Joker for the pop-culture challenged). God help me if I see Mushmouth Sharpe, Tom "Knee Jerk Action" Jackson or Mark Stink on screen when that happens.
