If New England wins, Cassel gets an enormous boost to his psyche. The whole team does. You want them to understand that they can indeed win without #12. If nothing else, this makes every game a fascinating 'must-see.' Last year was like eating 9-pound ice cream sundaes: the first few bites are wonderful, but it's all downhill from there. So it was with the Patriots last year; it wasn't a matter of winning or losing, it was about how much they'd win by. And after awhile I was hoping that teams could play New England competitively. At no other time in New England's recent history has the phrase 'Take it one game at a time' been more meaningful. Let's take the Jets and build from there.
