Very nice caption to the good article Dan. For myself I haven't been this down since 2002 when we started having similar problems stopping a certain type of run. But, I think the problem goes deep. Here's why. Our top draft picks of the last several years have -let us say- left a lot to be desired. We'd identify a need. Draft that need and see it flop then we try to patch it up with free agents. This is no way to build a team and the chickens are coming home to roost. As of right now Mayo is not a run stuffer. Outside of running around and showing good energy I don't know what he does best. The same goes for Meriweather, Watson, Jackson, Graham. Except for drafting lineman they should trade down to the 3rd round and stick a pin in the board.
