I am reading a lot of poo thrown toward the O-line play but I have to believe, in traditional Belichickian fashion, that there is a lot more going on here than we are being led to believe.

End of last year, pressure was effective. Preseason this year, seems little has changed...

There is no doubt in my mind that the schemes have been overhauled but they are not about to play the new stuff is four straight preseason games so that the Jets and Fins will have it to study and prepare. While this is making it hard on the backup QBs, and making a good reason sit Brady to shield him from the assault, this will pay dividends when the real bullets start to fly.

Just my hunch, but I think Guyton has a chance of making this team. Even though he was undrafted,he was the 6th rated OLB in some places before the draft and had almost best 40 time(4.33) of any defensive player at the combine.
Never good to fall in love with potential(Chad Jackson) but this guy is about the same size as Mayo at 6"1.5" and weighs 244 pounds. If he's coachable, can contribute on special teams, and can learn the defense I think he sticks.

I can't stand the media. ESPN in particular. It got to the point where I couldn't watch highlights and analysis towards the end of last year. It was too annoying.

I don't think I'd hate to see 19-0 though. It's just the crap you have to weed through to get there.

I only caught the very last nano-second of it on the TV but I thought I saw something say that Seau would consider coming back but only to play for the Pats. Not sure if anything more has come of this.

...Could not agree more concerning "Going Undefeated"...I still hear rumblings about it from callers to WEEI and message board posters......" We have and easy schedule, I can see the Pats going undefeated!!!"...."wouldn't it be GREAT to go undefeated?!!!".blah..blah..blah.....PUH-LEES...I'll never root for the Patriots to lose, but I couldn't give A RAT'S ASS LESS about "undefeated"....I did find last year to be somewhat of a BURDEN. Watching the old Dolphins crawl out of the woodwork, all the media crap that came with it etc..etc..
