Kaczur definitely got a good deal. He probably won’t spend a day in prison. He was caught with all those oxycontin pills but only has to pay a speeding ticket. Assuming he’s not an idiot, he won’t get in trouble in six months and it’ll be wiped off his record. To top it off, he’s still on the Patriots!

I get that, STI. My questions about this involve the amount of money he was spending, the volume of pills he was getting, how much he was taking himself and where the other ones were going. The way I see it, all those questions go away if he stays out of trouble for the season (basically). That seems like a good deal to me.

(1) 50-50 odds. But I expect Mayo to sign by Monday at the latest (and it’s not his fault; most of the first rounders aren’t signed yet).

(2) The worst charge he had was a seventh-degree misdemeanor. Absolute worst case scenario would be a year in jail. You really think that’s a sweetheart deal?

(3) Right now, Jackson is probably the biggest question mark on the team. He could be anything from a bust to a near-Moss clone.

tho it’s going to be hard to get too pumped yet.

watching the ESPY’s made me really depressed to realize how much that SB loss cost in terms of history.

The Red Sox were an entertaining story for the summer, but this is Patriots time. I think thats just how you have to look at it.
