I wouldn't go overboard "analyzing" this game...from the start it was clear the Dolphin offence was no threat at all. Once the Pats got up 28-0 it was time to go for the records and why not?...of course, Felger has already pumped out an, "AREN'T YOU WORRIED PATS FANS???!!!" column. No Felger, I'm not. (does he really think Brady will be forcing the ball to Moss in the playoffs?) These last couple of games have had a "Pre-season game" feel to them. Can't wait until Saturday night is over. I'm ready for the playoffs.

I'm greatly encouraged by the play of James Sanders this season, and more recently even Brandon Meriweather. The last few seasons I have been dreading the times when Rodney Harrison has been out, and even more the time when he calls it a career. Now, I'm feeling a little better about the future of the safety position, and I'm glad both of those guys have had a chance to play with Harrison.

The two-faced analogy is perfectly apt at this time of year, since we're heading into the month named after the Roman god Janus, who could simultaneously look forward and back. Good thing Matt Light doesn't have this ability: otherwise, he'd be seeing both Jason Taylor on top of Brady and the disgusted look on Belichick's face at the same time. Of course, Light getting bullied by Jason Taylor isn't exactly news.

Thanks for the gift, though: A nifty mention of Heath Evans' monster block in Maroney's sweet run to the hizzy. I don't know if any of the postgame analysis touched on it (the room was full of verbose in-laws about midway through the third quarter and beyond), but I appreciated the big ups to Heath, as the ailing Stuart Scott might say.

Big ups to you and the rest of the PatesDaily crew for your work all season. Io Saturnalia!
