They ran up the score. If Brady is passing when it's 38-0 look out for a d lineman taking a cheap shot and then Brady is out. Smart move BB.

This whole running up the score business is hilarious. First, all I kept hearing was "The Patriots can't win without cheating" and now that they don't have an extra camera on the sidelines? They score too much.

I think Belichick and Brady remember very well last season's AFC championship game with the Colts. They were up by 18 points and lost. Belichick is making damn sure the Pats play every minute of every game so they're prepared to play an enitre game in the playoffs. No letting up on the Colts when the get the lead. That, and the 100-0 beating they're going to give the Jets in another month and a half.

The Redskins team name used to be a pejorative, however unintentional in the modern era, characterization of the American Indian. Now, after the spanking the Patriots administered yesterday, the name is merely an accurate description of the team's collective backside.

The 'Skins' "Warpath Insider" puts one moment in the game rather nicely:

"Play to forget: How about almost every one of them? But we’ll take a Jason Campbell fumble in the second quarter. The Redskins already were trailing 17-0 when Mike Vrabel abused Mike Sellers and forced a fumble that led to New England’s final first-half touchdown.

"Right."

Best of all is the picture that accompanies the blog. While it's ostensibly a shot from the front of Campbell of the moment Vrabel knocks the ball free, fans of the HBO prison drama "Oz" will no doubt see its resemblance to another sort of abuse. Ouch.

The only thing that could have made yesterday's victory sweeter is a Doug Flutie drop-kick. Oh well ...

Brilliant Scott! Sensory overload here, but my family was in Foxboro yesterday and even I, from the opposite side of the stadium, knew what was coming. I told my 8 year old daughter to focus her binoculars on #50 and then he gets away untouched. She was so excited that she "saw the whole thing!". Un-f'ing-believable.

I love just how fired up the Pats are. How about how pissed Brady was on the false start penalty near the Redskins goal line? They were only up 38-0 at the time!

Suh-weet.

They let Matt Cassel run FIFTEEN YARDS for a touchdown on a broken play. Enough said.

So, kicking a sure field goal vs. going for it on fourth down is "running it up"? I really need to go back and look at some of those Indy games from a couple years ago. Maybe Peter King's latest boy toy has a point.
