It looks to me as if Watson is still having a hard time holding on to the ball... that is what ended the first beautiful drive with only 3 points. It also seems as if Mills has gone quiet and although Thomas did make the trip to Carolina, he has not played so far this preseason. Marcellus Rivers has done a great job in camp as well as the preseason games. He could be the one to make the team. With Thomas remaining on PUP and and Mills to the practice squad. Great write up on the game.

Kicking one from 46 isn't exactly like trying land men on Mars as far as degree of difficulty. I don't think he'd tell you he's kicking well at the moment. Doesn't mean he won't get it back on track eventually, but for now, I think he's scuffling a bit. Larry might have a good point about the holder - I know Miller and Walter held last year, but didn't Cassel hold toward the tail end of the year when Sauerbrun became the punter? The guy just looks like a player to me, both receiving and specials. Sammy Morris can't be this good, can he? Seems like he makes at least one guy miss every time, and every carry ends with him falling forward for three yards. That first down he got by rolling over Dan Morgan was a thing of beauty.
