I'm definitely on the Vinny bandwagon, y'all. But where's my Gutierrez talk, huh? The Gute is the QB of the future. Or at least the backup of the future, if the horizon we're talking about is a couple of years. No diss on Cassel but, as I said earlier, I'm still a bit skeptical. Seems like a good kid and he's a friend of Brady, but sometimes it takes more than good work habits to cut it as a big-time QB. Just as Favre or, one of my all-time faves, Snake Stabler. Somebody get Gute a bottle of Jack Daniels for the locker!

Go Pats. Sure hope nuthin' bad happens to Bulluck tonight.

It's a joke, Barry, albeit no pearl. Believe me, we all learned to respect Vinny a long time ago (1994 to be exact). The comment is in regard to Bulluck's rant earlier this week.

I am not sure Keith Bulluck feels the same way about Vinny.

Ya'll need to quit putting down Vinny T. This clipboard holder has paid his dues and done right by ya'll. A little respect for longevity is in order please...

The Warren deal is fantastic and exactly the type of pre-emptive signing that Monday Morning QB's said were lacking (and criticized them with regards to Branch and Samuel).

The Warren thing has me thinking about Branch and Samuel. In Branch's case he was under contract and I think that makes it hard to fully blame the Pats for not signing him sooner, but he was a contributor from the very beginning and you could argue that they lacked foresight in letting him get to his final year. With Samuel, it doesn't apply. Asante really came on last season and, while a contributor, did not show the same level of play throughout his rookie deal. I think it's unreasonable to say they should have locked him up two years ago. Warren's signing is perfect. He's been playing at a very high level for a few seasons and will only improve. What a luxury to have a dominant D-Line signed for the next three seasons.

Well done, Pioli.
