I think he'll play a lot on defense this year, possibly even start by year end, but be a significant player either way. It will be interesting to watch his development and playing time as camp goes on and its good he's there. It would have hurt if he had fallen too far behind. Who could've imagined this 15 years ago? I think Maroney's "Nobody said anything about me being a feature back" comments are a reflection of him trying to show the proper humility. If he came out and said "I'm going run for 1800 yards this season, just watch me..." we'd be killing the kid for being cocky and not respecting his proper place on the squad.
